Since we are speaking of beginnings, I will now explain My Beginning. As a child I always seemed to have questions about religion, spirituality and paranormal.

{Paranormal, adjective, 1. Seemingly outside normal sensory channels. 2. Not in accordance with scientific laws. (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/paranormal)}.

To my mother's chagrin, most of the answers I was given didn't appease me. As I grew to an adolescent disappointments instilled in me a deep criticism of just about everything.

In January of 2001, I was twenty-three. I lived in an apartment in Kansas City with my husband and two young children. I still read quite a bit and one of my favorite authors was Nora Roberts. I don't remember what book it was, but I read the word "Wicca". I didn't know what it meant so I did a search on the Internet. Part of the irony there is that normally I wouldn't have bothered. I didn't usually take the time to look up a word I didn't know. I just kept on reading.

Now, in 2001 the pagan revolution had just begun to hit the Internet and wasn't in full swing yet. There wasn't nearly the information or resources available that there is now. Regardless even then when I entered "Wicca" into the search engine thousands of websites popped up. My curiosity sparked, I spent a year hitting the books and Internet hard. I've been interested in religion and Paganism ever since.

By searching for a single word I didn't understand, I found myself.
